Healthy Corner Stores

Many towns, especially in rural communities are losing their grocery stores and access to purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables. Often this leads to people buying food at the local convenience store instead. That is typically not good for a community's health since convenience/corner stores often only have foods that are high in fat, sugar, sodium, and preservatives. Many stores are changing that though by taking an active role in bringing healthier options to customers. Those options can include fruits and vegetables in conveient locations for customers to see. It can also be cheese snacks and healthier beverage options.
