Healthy Emergency Food Programs

For individuals and families who don't have the resources to buy enough food, any food helps. But why not provide healthier options too? People who are food insecure are at higher risk for  a myriad of health problems. Being able to provide them with fruits, vegetables, and other foods and drinks that are lower in saturated fat, sugar, sodium, and calories will make for a healthier community and reduce the burden of health care costs on society.
